Mitchell Adds New Management; Creates New Specialty Business Unit

San Diego-based Mitchell International has officially announced the addition of Jesse Herrera to the NAGS management team. Herrera will assume the role of general manager of the newly created Specialty Business Unit that also includes Mitchell's existing AutocheX business unit.

Herrera joined Mitchell in 2002 as director, corporate development, and has worked on a variety of internal operations and strategy projects throughout the organization. Prior to joining Mitchell, Herrera worked with Bain & Co. as a strategy consultant. Prior to Bain, he spent several years with GE Capital.

"The creation of our Specialty Business Unit, headed by Jesse Herrera, heralds exciting changes for Mitchell," said Tony Aquila, president and chief operating officer of Mitchell International. "The new operational synergies unleashed by combining what were individually successful operations, united under a proven leader, will drive even greater benefits for our clients. Our expectations are high, and we're confident they'll be exceeded."

"I am excited by the benefits the Specialty Business Unit brings to NAGS users," said Herrera. "NAGS remains committed to being the leading provider of data and technology to the industry and this re-organization focuses more resources on creating value for our customers."

Mitchell is also announcing that Catherine Howard, vice president and general manager for NAGS, has assumed a consulting role with the organization. Howard will be working closely with Herrera in the coming months to help ensure a smooth transition of the day-to-day operating responsibilities, according to the company.
