North Carolina Looks at Bill Overseeing Window Tinting

A bill before the North Carolina Senate regulating window tint installation and light reflection has recently been introduced and assigned to the state Committee on Commerce, Small Business and Entrepenuership.

If passed, the bill would establish guidelines detailing the visible light transmission properties, or darkness of the tint. Additionally, the bill would require any vehicle with an aftermarket tint to have a certificate of compliance to the tinting guidelines affixed to the vehicle's windshield.

The bill would take effect December 1, 2007 if passed into law.
