SafeliteŽ AutoGlass Donates Windshields to Community Center to Help Storm Victims Safelite AutoGlass recently donated five windshields to the Northfield Community Action Center (CAC) to help uninsured victims of an area hailstorm. "The Community Action Center helps Northfield residents in many ways," said Beverly Rook, Safelite Regional Sales Manager. "We were happy to assist their clients with getting their vehicles back on the road. It was so amazing to see the community come together and work through the devastation caused by the hailstorm. We were glad to be there to help." The CAC helps families in crisis from households in which the earned income is insufficient to meet their needs to get back on their feet. CAC's services ensure that families meet their survival needs, kids come to school ready to learn, and people are able to overcome crisis to be self-sufficient. "We are usually on the phone asking for donations," said Jim Blaha, CAC Executive Director. "It was nice to have Safelite step up to the plate and offer assistance. They helped us identify the need and resources to fix windshields and now know it's a viable opportunity to help people and promote adopt-a -windshield as a way to help.
