Safelite Solutions has announced plans to relocate its Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based operation, where its Alliance Claims Solutions business is based, by the end of 2013. The company will relocate the business to a new 21,220-square-foot-facility in nearby Hiawatha, Iowa, and plans to add 200 full-time and part-time employees.
The move will take place sometime after February 1, 2013.
Safelite’s parent company, Belron US, acquired Alliance Claims Solutions three years ago when it purchased IGD Industries’ auto glass repair and replacement assets.
“We are excited about our expansion in Cedar Rapids and what it will mean for our customers, our employees and the community,” says Jerry Beigel, senior vice president of Safelite Solutions.
Brian O’Mara, vice president of Safelite’s national contact centers, told glassBYTEs.com the move will help the company "better serve [its] clients and offer a broader spectrum of services."
“For example, we are growing in Cedar Rapids to meet the needs of our current and future small to mid-tier insurance clients," he says.
The company will be utilizing Iowa’s New Job Training Program administered through Kirkwood Community College.
