TeleGlass Implements Administrative Charge; Increases Mail/Fax Processing Fees

TeleGlass National announced last week that it is implementing a $5 administrative charge on all transactions, effective today. In addition, the company has increased the fees for paper invoices. For invoices involving glass replacement submitted via mail or fax, the company will now charge an $8 processing fee-in addition to the administrative charge; this is an increase from the prior charge of $7.75. For windshield repair invoices submitted via mail or fax, the company will levy a fee of $2 per invoice-up from $1.75.

According to a letter issued to shops by managing director Sheila O'Toole, these changes came about as part of the company's business plan review.

In the letter, O'Toole also cites an "evolution" in the industry.

"As the industry evolves, and many industry participants are contracting or exiting the auto glass service business, we continue to make significant investments in our business and infrastructure to enhance our combined future in the auto glass industry," she writes.
At press time, O'Toole was traveling and was unable to comment.
