Two employees at Glass Pro, an automotive glass repair shop in Greensboro, N.C., were abducted from the business, but a witness to the incident alerted authorities, who gave chase. The chase ended when the suspect vehicle ran into a utility pole.

Edward Junior Ratliff, manager of the repair store, and his wife Shelly were arrested after the crash and charged with conspiracy to commit murder, first-degree kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to inflict serious injury.
