AGRSS Announces Date Change for Second Annual Conference The Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standards Council (AGRSS) has announced a change in dates and location for its second annual conference, now scheduled to be held November 1-2, 2006, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two-day conference will boast seminars for current and potential AGRSS-registered companies on topics such as the new AGRSS self-audit program, understanding the Standard, insurance, marketing opportunities and proper training for CSRs and technicians. The AGRSS Conference will be held during "auto glass week" at NACE in Vegas. The Auto Glass Technician Olympics and the National Windshield Repair Association's Fall Conference will also be held in Vegas that week. All will be co-located with the International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) show. "We recognized what a fantastic opportunity this is to help educate the collision repair industry of the grave importance of proper windshield installation," said Cindy Ketcherside, chairperson of the AGRSS Council. "We are extremely happy that AGRSS conference participants will be able to attend both the Olympics and the NACE Show at no additional charge," said event organizer Deb Levy. "These are separate events but we've made arrangements for AGRSS Conference attendees to be able to attend at no additional charge." AGRSS was founded and is supported by companies in the auto glass replacement industry that keep safe installation as their primary goal. The Council is also accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) - a standards development organization - and has developed North America's only auto glass replacement standard, the AGRSS Standard (ANSI/AGRSS 002-2002). The AGRSS Standard addresses procedures, education and product performance. |
