July 9, 2013

Auto Glass Week™, the three-day international event featuring auto glass repair and replacement competitions, educational seminars and an exhibition/extravaganza, is proud to announce that Dow Automotive Systems, a technology-driven solutions provider offering a broad range of innovative, technician friendly and price-competitive, advanced glass replacement adhesive technologies, is sponsoring the event at the Silver level.

According to Christine Swart, global communications manager at Dow Automotive Systems, “more than one billion vehicles worldwide are installed using Dow Automotive Systems’ windshield adhesives. These trusted products are also available to the automotive aftermarket. When you choose aftermarket products from Dow Automotive Systems, you not only get the best products available, you partner with an industry leader.”

As a Silver Sponsor of Auto Glass Week, Dow Automotive Systems will be featured on the show floor September 18-20 in booth 314. “Dow Automotive Systems Aftermarket will showcase its latest product innovations and talk about what’s on the horizon. We know a lot of people are very interested in our all-in-one primer, BETAPRIME™ 5504G, and its implementation into our entire product line,” Swart explained.

Dow Automotive Systems chose to sponsor Auto Glass Week 2013, because as an industry leader, it is “committed to supporting the entire auto glass replacement industry. Auto Glass Week is an excellent opportunity to meet with everyone in the industry in one place,” Swart stated.

Auto Glass Week draws more than 1,000 attendees and features top industry players on the show floor each year. The event will be held in Tampa, Fla., at the Tampa Convention Center and the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel and Marina, September 18-20.

When asked if Dow Automotive Systems had any advice for the 2013 repair and replacement competitors, Swart wanted to remind competitors that “contamination on the windshield isn’t always visible, so it’s important to include contamination removal as part of your standard operating procedure when prepping replacement glass. Competitors in the Auto Glass Technician Olympics should familiarize themselves with the rules and conditions, as well as ANSI/AGRSS Standards and ASM instruction and documentation.”
