Thomas Bessel Crowned Best of Belron; Five Others Receive
Honors
Twenty
one employees of Belron-owned shops competed in the Best of Belron competition
last week at the Formula 1 race track "Nürburgring" in
Germany.
German Thomas Bessel walked away with the title of Technician of the Year,
the winner of the competition.
Others
recognized for quality work were runners up: Laurent Doneux, representing
the Belgium/Luxenbourg region, Matt Walsh from Australia, Richard Sittlington
of New Zealand and Joris Meesen of the Netherlands.
Jason Dansey of the United Kingdom received the Smart Thinking award,
having recognized and resolved "a number of 'bear traps'" designed
to stump competitors.
Belron's
main suppliers of glass and urethane, including Dow Automotive, Sika,
Pilkington, and Saint Gobain Sekurit, are among the sponsors of the yearly
competition.
