Private Breakfast with Ralph Nader Offered to Qualified AGRSS Conference Participants

Conference participants from AGRSS registered (credentialed) companies and AGRSS contributors are invited to a private breakfast with the AGRSS Conference keynote speaker, Ralph Nader Sunday, October 16, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. before the keynote speech. This will give attendees time to have the noted automotive safety advocate sign books and have photos taken with him.

"We've heard some people want a picture with Mr. Nader to put in their shop waiting rooms and would like a little more time with him," said Hayley Steele, event promotions manager.

The AGRSS conference is open to everyone interested within auto glass safety and professionalism. Nader will deliver the keynote address to all conference participants at 9 a.m.

The AGRSS Conference is a two-day event offering a variety of detailed seminars. Among the sessions will be one covering the AGRSS self-auditing program that begins in October. The seminar, led by Carl Tompkins, will address the new program, how to participate and what it will mean to companies, customers and insurers to say a shop is an AGRSS-registered company. State Farm's Bob Bischoff will discuss the insurer's new Offer and Acceptance program at the conference as well (see Bischoff to Speak at AGRSS Conference, glassBYTES August 9, 2005])

Other topics include using the AGRSS Standard in business and marketing safety to the consumer, as well as technology and resources that are available now and in the near future for businesses.

As with any industry-minded event, conference participants will also have the opportunity to network and socialize at the cocktail party and fundraiser, which also serves as a charity event to benefit AGRSS.

AGRSS is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the safe replacement of auto glass. AGRSS™ was founded and is supported by companies in the auto glass replacement industry that keep safe installation as their primary goal.

The AGRSS™ Council is an accredited American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-standards development organization. It has developed the North America's only auto glass replacement standard, the AGRSS™ standard (ANSI/AGRSS™ 002-2002 Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard). The AGRSS™ Standard addresses procedures, education and product performance.
