Hurricane Charley is expected to hit Florida on the Gulf side today and, according to the Weather Channel is heading straight for Fort Myers, having already gone through Cuba and skirting the Florida Keys. On the alert for several days now, most of the areas in the path of the hurricane have been evacuated, forcing many to flee homes and jobs. The auto glass industry does not remain untouched.

LYNX Services by PPG has a call center in Fort Myers, Fla. According to PPG spokesperson Larry O'Reilly the call center closed yesterday at 9 p.m. and all calls to the center have been rerouted to the LYNX Services call center in Paducah, Ky. The company expects there to be no affect to customer service.
