(source: C.R. Laurence press release) Los Angeles-based C.R. Laurence Co., Inc. (CRL), supplier to the glazing, architectural, construction, industrial, and automotive industries, is building a new branch distribution facility in Houston. "This move brings our operations closer to our customers in southern Texas," said Donald E. Friese, CRL president and chief executive officer. "The construction of this facility demonstrates our deep commitment to the Texas market." According to a company news release, the new, 42,500-square-foot distribution center will serve the southern regions of Texas, as well as customers in Louisiana, Mississippi, and parts of Mexico. The facility will feature state-of-the-art shipping equipment and computer systems for quick UPS delivery to customers. A "will call" department will allow customers to pick up orders on site, and the facility will feature a display area where customers can see many of CRL's newest products, including full size working models of CRL's architectural hardware products, shower door hardware, railing systems, and transaction hardware. The company's existing branch in Dallas will continue to serve northern
Texas, as well as Oklahoma and Arkansas. "This area is a major growth market and is very important to our own advancement as the leading supplier to the glass industry. This new facility will not only raise our level of service to our customers in that region, but is also a good business decision." For more information visit crlaurence.com or call 800/421-6144. |
