glassBYTEs wrestles Auto Chain to the Floor

We're not sure what happened, but these are the facts. The Web site for Advance Auto Parts had an article on how vehicle owners should replace their own windshields and after glassBYTEs™ posted an item about it Tuesday, June 14, within a day, the article disappeared from the Web site.

Are one and one two? Did our readers, the industry, inundate them with emails? Did they get the point that there could be liability ramifications to this article?

Well, it's gone. A truly pathetic DIY attempt has fallen, as it should, into the dust.

Headquartered in Roanoke, Va., Advance Auto Parts, according to its Web site, is the second largest automotive aftermarket retailer of parts, accessories, batteries and maintenance items in the United States, based on sales and store count. As of April 23, 2005, the company had 2,675 stores in 40 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
