Dow Automotive has developed a new formula for its BETAPRIME 5404A product that it says is designed to improve open life stability in high-temperature and humid environments. The aim is to help customers continue to save money and reduce inventory with the single primer rather than the traditional three products used for the same purpose, explains Phil Jentoft, aftermarket product marketing manager for the Dayton, Ohio based company.

"We are fortunate to have the right combination of materials, and the technological
development, testing and packaging capabilities needed to respond to customer demands," Jentoft said. "Also, customer feedback on the BETAPRIME products and others keeps us focused on the next generation of products."

BETAPRIME 5404A is used for priming pinchwelds, RIM and PVC, as well as activating pre-applied adhesive systems, to simplify installation. "Technicians have come to rely on the product to promote adhesion to vehicle bodies, inhibit rust in small nicks and scratches, and to meet OEM and long-term durability requirements," according to Jentoft.
