Glas-Weld Systems Inc. has partnered with Jewel of Technology (JTX) to be the exclusive distributor of Glas-Weld Systems' windshield repair products in several countries in the Middle East. JTX will be the first representation in this region for Glas-Weld.

"With the addition of JTX to our international customer base, we will be able to reach an audience that has not yet been introduced to the Glas-Weld product line," said Mike Boyle, president of the Bend, Ore., company. "We are looking forward to working with them to create a market in several countries in the Middle Eastern region."

JTX will be distributing Glas-Weld products in the following countries: Saudi Arabia; United Arab Emirates (UAE); Kuwait; Qatar; Bahrain; Oman; Jordan; Syria; Lebanon; Iraq; Yemen Republic; Egypt; Libya; Tunisia; Algeria; Morocco; Sudan; Pakistan; Iran; India; Mauritania; Turkey; Sri Lanka; and Bangladesh.

JTX was co-founded by Said Fadel and Omar Badugaish, both formerly from the banking industry.

"After discovering Glas-Weld products through an associate, we quickly saw the opportunity that this type of product would have in our region," said Fadel. "We are pleased to have formed this partnership and look forward to a mutually profitable relationship in the future."

A conference is scheduled for July 30-August 3, 2005 in Egypt. Glas-Weld's Boyle will lead a two-day seminar on August 1 and 2. The remainder of the conference will encompass tours of Egypt.
