Industry Activity in Germany This Week

Two events in Germany this week are attracting a number of visitors from the United States, as well as other countries around the world.

One is the Best of Belron competition in at the Nurburgring in Nurburg, Belron's internal competition for their best auto glass replacement technician. The international company, which has been impacting the U.S. market since its reentry there two years ago, uses this venue to showcase its best auto glass repair and replacement technicians.

This year's fourth annual competition will feature technicians from 21 countries competing against each other for the Best of Belron titles. The finals are slated to take place on Thursday. Among those who will be in attendance are Gary Lubner, Belron CEO, Herbert Busen, general manager of Germany and Jeff Boekstein, Belron sales/marketing director.

Also on hand for the finals will be Charles Cumpston, AGRR Magazine editor.

A number of Best of Belron attendees will then be traveling to Automechanika, the leading international trade fair for the automotive industry, which is being held from 12-17 September at the Messe Frankfurt fairground in Frankfurt Main/Germany. The trade show will host about 4,500 exhibitors from 70 countries and attract over 160,000 visitors from more than 120 countries.
