Kryger Glass of Kansas City, Mo., has issued a letter to customers in eight states today, following the growing trend in the industry of not adopting the National Auto Glass Specifications (NAGS) Rebalancing numbers. The letter reads as follows: NAGS has issued a "rebalanced" benchmark that they have designated effective after February 28. This rebalance has been the source of much debate within the industry. We understand the challenges that each of you face in deciding how to proceed with this change. Kryger Glass does not feel that the rebalance is an accurate representation of glass prices. We question the calculation method that NAGS used, as well as their motivation for forcing this change on an industry that has made it clear that they do not want it. Kryger Glass wholesale will not utilize the new benchmark pricing. Our pricing will continue to be based on the same criteria you currently use. We will continue to evaluate pricing programs as they are presented. We will price new parts based on this methodology as they become available. We will help you prepare for the changes in retail pricing any way possible. Please do not hesitate to contact your representative; or myself if you have any questions or would like assistance. Sincerely,
