METRYX Registry Enters Validation Phase
More than 8,500 retail auto glass repair and replacement companies have completed
entering their company profile on the METRYX industry services registry,
the on-line registry hosted by LYNX Services. Companies have also recorded attributes
such as AGRSS registration, various achievements in technical and customer service
training for their employees, and other credentials that may provide the basis
for a competitive edge in the market.
According to Fahmy Mechael, LYNX Services' vice president for business process
and integration, this brings to a close the initial enrollment phase and launches
the validation phase for the industry services registry.
"METRYX is open, and will remain so, for any auto glass retail provider
that has yet to register his or her company," said Mechael. "But now
our attention is turned toward validation of the data, the necessary next step
in the Value Creation process that METRYX is designed to support."
Plans for the industry services registry call for the eventual calibration
of performance data such as Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), warranty and complaints
ratios, cycle time, and other measurable metrics against attributes such as AGRSS
registration, NGA certification, and various other adhesive and related technical
training achievements. This will lead to the Value Creation phase, which will
involve associating tangible value with various credentials or attributes of companies,
and then using that information to better serve policyholders/customers. Before
the Value Creation phase can be launched, the Data Validation phase must be concluded.
LYNX Services has appointed a full-time professional, Mike Roush, to lead the
on-going Validation and Value Creation phases into the future. As manager of the
industry services registry, Roush will work with other industry constituents to
conduct the data validation work, and with various organizations to enhance the
Value Creation phase.
Roush comes to this position from long-term experience within LYNX Services
in the areas of process improvement, total quality management and data resource
management.
"The METRYX Registry is designed to bring value to all of the primary
players in the value chain: glass retailer; insurance companies; and customers.
Our job, as stewards of the registry data, is to manage the validity of the data
so it is relevant and useful," said Roush.
LYNX Services began using the METRYX registry data in operations on October
19, 2005.
