Auto Glass Technician Olympics Fields More Competitors
than 2005; Registration Ends Tomorrow
The deadline is drawing near for those interested in competing in the
Auto Glass Technician Olympics or the Walt Gorman Memorial Windshield
Repair Olympics; registration ends tomorrow at 5 p.m. Eastern Standard
Time.
"We've already got more contestants registered to compete in the
Auto Glass Technician Olympics than were in the 2005 event," said
event manager Holly Biller. "We are accepting registrations through
the end of the business day tomorrow, but once registration is closed,
we will not accept any more competitors."
There is no on-site registration available for those who wish to compete
in the Auto Glass Technician Olympics or the Windshield Repair Olympics.
However, spectator registration will be available on-site.
Co-sponsored by the Independent Glass Association (IGA) and AGRR magazine,
the Auto Glass Technician Olympics is in its second year. The event follows
on the heels of the second annual Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standard
(AGRSS) Conference and both events, along with the National Windshield
Repair Association Conference and the Windshield Repair Olympics are co-located
this year with the Auto Glass Expo @ NACE. New this year is the Windshield
Repair Olympics, which is sponsored by AGRR magazine.
The events will be held November 1-4, 2006 at the Mandalay Bay Convention
Center in Las Vegas.
