Western National Insurance, one of Minnesota's largest independently represented mutual insurance companies, has sent out a letter saying that it is not changing to the new NAGS rebalanced price list. In a letter to glass shops, the company said, "Based upon the vast differences of opinion in the industry regarding this change, we feel it is important to further evaluate the potential impact of this price change prior to making any decisions on adopting the new pricing structure. Therefore, until further notice, our pricing will remain the same, and will be based on the old NAGS list price. Collectively, Western National Insurance Group is licensed to operate in 20 states in the Midwest and Northwest. Its combined premium writings are almost $200 million and its total assets are over $300 million. |
