Northstar Automotive Joins List of Companies Delaying Switch to Rebalanced Prices

Northstar Automotive, headquartered in Wichita, Kan. has issued a press release stating that the company will not be accepting the new pricing structure that the NAGS Rebalancing will bring to the industry later this month.

The press release, which was issued today, February 11, 2005, reads as follows:

Due to customer confusion regarding the NAGS rebalancing efforts, Northstar Automotive Glass® will not adopt the proposed NAGS 2005 Winter Benchmark Calculator when it becomes effective February 28, 2005. We believe the proposed rebalancing does not accurately reflect market costs and has great variation. Northstar® will continue to use discounts based on the current NAGS Calculator effective September 6, 2004 until there is united support by the auto glass community of proposed changes to NAGS.

We sincerely appreciate the continued support of our customers and distributors. We're proud to be the leader in supplying premium parts at the best prices to independent auto glass customers.
