John Kellman, 49, president of the Globe Network, which was purchased by Boyd Group earlier this year, died suddenly of a heart attack yesterday. Burial services will be held tomorrow in Chicago. Part of the Kellman glass family dynasty, he was the oldest son and third of six children born to Mildred and the late Morrie Kellman. He was the brother of Michael Kellman, who is senior vice president of Globe Network, and Cheri Kellman, who has long been active in the laminated glass industry. The family was the owner of the Globe Amerada retail glass operation which was sold to Glass America recently, with the exception of the location in Minnesota. He was very active in the Little City Foundation for mentally disadvantaged children, and served as co-chairman of the committee for its annual golf outing. |
