Auto Glass Technician Olympic Competitor Registration Growing

The first-ever Auto Glass Technician Olympics has started lining up competitors registered to battle it out for the title of "World's Best Auto Glass Technician."

Leading the way is Kevin Denz, who works for Maverick Glass in Glendale, Ariz. He was selected to represent his company because of his dedication to the job, his boss Chuck Rowe told glassBYTES.

"He's constantly getting letters and e-mails from customers commending his work and he has a very low call-back percentage-it's consistently less than 1%; he very rarely gets one," said Rowe. "Kevin started out when he was straight out of high school and he's a dedicated employee. His productivity is one of the highest in the company, he's always dressed right and does the right thing and says the right thing. He's one of my best installers."

The AG Technician Olympics will be held at the Rio All Suites Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas October 16-18, 2005 and competitive slots are limited.

The event offers a grand prize of $5,000 (plus a gold medal and bragging rights as "World's Best Auto Glass Technician") and is co-sponsored by AGRR magazine and the IGA. It begins right after the first ever AGRSS Conference to be held at the same location October 16-17.
