The Auto Glass Technician Olympians

A total of 24 technicians competed in the first ever Auto Glass Technician Olympics in Las Vegas this week. One of the most often heard statements at the event was, "They're all winners." And, indeed they were. Here are some pictures taken at the awards breakfast.

Following the presentation of the medallions and a gift package, all the competitors participated in a group shot of this first-ever meeting. They came from all parts of the country and have a range of experience.
Gold medal winner Jeff Olive is with Glasspro Inc. in Mount Pleasant, SC. He serves as director of quality control and is a certified master auto glass technician. He has multiple installation certifications including a certification from Performance Achievement Group, Automotive Glass Consultants and Dow Automotive/Essex ARG. Lynn Lovetinsky, the silver medal winner, is a technician with Auto Glass Center in West Branch, Iowa. He has 13 years of experience. Randy Chadwick, the bronze medal winner, is a senior auto glass technician with Glasspro Inc. in Myrtle Beach, SC. Rounding out the final four was Carl Sorrells, Northwest Windshields Inc., Walla Walla, Wash.
The youngest of the final four, at 28, he is a certified master technician with 12 years of experience.
