Innovative Polishing Systems, a supplier of materials, equipment and technology for the scratch removal, polishing and resurfacing of glass and acrylics, has named Surface Restoration Specialists as a manufacturer direct distributor.

Dave Gittins, president of the 15-year-old Stuart, Fla.-based IPS, explains that he wanted a change in the method of distribution that would streamline getting the products to the end user at significantly lower prices. "We felt we needed a distributor that would provide full customer support and offer products at a wholesale price," he said.

IPS concentrates on products used with hand-held polishing equipment using formulated compounds, polishing disks and pads. "We are working on major advancements in technology and were looking for an organization that could help us get those products and information to the end user," said Gittins.

Minneapolis based Surface Restoration Specialists has regional offices in Oregon, Minnesota and Indiana.
