PPG Industries' proprietary hydrophobic glass treatment - Aquapel® - is now available for retailers to sell direct to consumers. Originally developed for professional use only, the product can be applied to windshields, side windows, rear windows, glass mirrors, and other glass surfaces.

"This new option gives glass retailers two ways to offer Aquapel to customers, and expands sales to consumers who want to apply it themselves," said Paul Baratta, national accounts manager, PPG Industries. "Sold either way, it is an effective tool for generating repeat business."

Aquapel repels rain, makes it easier to clear ice, snow, dirt and bugs, and reduces glare in the rain, especially at night. The treatment can be applied in minutes to a clean, dry windshield or any exterior glass surface.
