Human Resources Services and Management Program Available to PPG Prostars®
PPG has announced that the launch of a new PROSTARS® program that will
give its participants access to expert human resource (HR) programs and advice.
Through the organization, Automotive HR, participants will receive tools and
services developed by Jim Hazen, Ph.D., an expert in automotive human resources
issues.
As part of the program, participants will have access to a toll-free HR Help
Line, offering confidential telephone consultations with a human resources expert
to discuss policies, procedures and HR-related issues, as well as the opportunity
to discuss strategies for handling difficult employees.
Fee-based assessment tools will also be available, and include a pre-screening
tool that measures work ethic, dependability, honesty and potential for substance
abuse and a performance indicator that measures motivation and attitude towards
quality, production, teamwork and stress.
Customized tools, such as executive coaching, on-site compliance audit and
policy reviews and Succession Planning will also be available to PPG PROSTARS
participants at significant discounts.
More features will be added to the program in coming months, including customized,
assessment tools for helping auto glass companies put the right people in the
right job for the right reasons. These customized benchmarks will feature measures
of cognitive skills, job relevant behaviors and career interest patterns for glass
shop managers, sales representatives and customer service personnel.
