Glass America has purchased the assets of all but one of the Globe Amerada retail auto glass locations. Locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania were included in the sale, as were the assets of Assurance Glass. The Globe Amerada operation in Minnesota was not included in the purchase.

The sale was finalized yesterday evening and the names of the Globe Amerada shops will be changed quickly to Glass America. The purchase, made from the Mildred (wife of Morrie) Kellman family, brings the number of Glass America locations to 92. The terms of the deal are not being disclosed.
