(source: AAIA News Release) According to a new market research report published by the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), quality is the most important factor for repair shop owners, service managers and technicians when it comes to purchasing shop equipment. The report, "2004/2005 Equipment Purchasing Trends," shows that quality remained at the top for both past and planned purchases, with service, warranty, price and availability all ranking less important when selecting equipment. "With the image of the auto service a constant concern for businesses in the aftermarket industry, it's encouraging to see that the professionals in the shops rate quality over service, price and availability when deciding on what equipment to purchase," said Kathleen Schmatz, AAIA president and chief executive officer.
