ROLAGS Committee Votes on Repair Standards The Joint National Windshield Repair Association/National Glass Association Repair of Laminated Auto Glass Standard (ROLAGS) Committee voted its approval to release a proposed standard for windshield repair to the public for comment. The proposed standard is the result of nearly two years of work by the joint committee following the procedures of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Under ANSI rules, all standards must be vetted before interested parties and various user groups, including members of the general public. Individuals and organizations have the right to review the Standard and make comments. Under ANSI rules, all comments must be resolved before a final standard can be issued. Exactly when the Standard is finalized depends on the number of comments that need resolution. The committee will soon issue a procedure for making comments about the Standard. |
