Safelite Group Selected as Finalist for Corporate Caring Awards

Safelite Group Inc., a provider of auto glass repair, replacement and claims management solutions, has announced that it has been selected as a finalist in the 2006 Columbus Business First Corporate Caring Awards.

"We are honored to have been selected as a finalist," said Randy Randolph, chair of the Safelite Charitable Foundation. "Our ongoing commitment to being a good corporate citizen and in helping our community is something we are very proud of."

In 2005, Safelite provided support to 19 non-profit organizations, ranging from agencies benefiting after-school programs and breast cancer research to groups granting special wishes to terminally ill children and new furniture for underprivileged families.

Safelite also responded to the needs of its employees impacted by the 2005 Gulf Coast hurricanes by providing basic necessities and financial contributions to help them begin to reestablish their lives in the wake of the devastation.

"We like to think that the support we provide in our community helps make a difference in the lives of people in need of assistance," said Randolph. "That alone brings us an immeasurable amount of satisfaction. Being recognized by our community for our efforts is an added bonus.
