Contestant Close Up: Shannon Kelley

AGRR magazine and the GlassBYTEs.com daily email newsletter are marking the days until the Auto Glass Technician Olympics by introducing this year's competitor field with a daily contestant profile.

West Allis, Wis., will be cheering on Shannon Kelley as he represents AGRSS-registered Auto Glass Specialists/Belron at the Second Annual Auto Glass Technician Olympics. His resume includes 16 "top tech" awards from his company and PAG certification.

Married with two children, Kelley brings 23 years of experience in auto glass installation to the competition. In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies and working on cars.

He will be using Dow Automotive brand adhesives at the competition.

The Auto Glass Technician Olympics, now in its second year, is co-sponsored by the Independent Glass Association (IGA) and AGRR magazine. The event follows on the heels of the second annual Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standard (AGRSS) Conference and both events, along with the National Windshield Repair Association Conference and the Windshield Repair Olympics are co-located this year with the Auto Glass Expo @ NACE.

The events will be held November 1-4, 2006 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
