Clear Defense of Guilford Co., N.C., was one of six companies awarded a $1,500 prize in the first round of Triad Entrepreneurial Initiative's annual business competition in North Carolina. The company won for developing technology strengthen and retains shattered
glass. It offers laminates and adhesives a safety enhancement to protect
athletes and spectators from injury and facility owners from liability.
The systems are currently in use on items such as NASCAR windshields
and National Federation of State High School Association (NFHS) gym
backboards to prevent them from shattering. |
