Sika®-Slick Cut-out Lubricant Now Available for Auto Glass Replacement
Sika has found that the removal of glass parts from vehicles is often the most difficult step in the replacement process. Sika-Slick significantly reduces the physical effort needed during the windshield cutout procedure which extends blade life and lessens the likelihood of injury and damage due to slippage of cut-out tools. Due to an innovative water soluble polymer, Sika-Slick does not contaminate the bond area and is best suited for use with reciprocating cutting motions, such as the cutting motion of a reciprocating power cutout tool or a long knife cutting a windshield's bottom bead. The product was introduced at the Independent Glass Association show in February in Orlando, Fla. The company will also have the product in its booth at the National Glass Association Auto Glass Expo in Minneapolis in May. Sika-Slick is packaged four-to-a-box in 1-quart spray bottles and in 1-gallon
refill jugs and is now available. Information is available by contacting your
local Sika Representative or calling Sika Customer Service at 1-800-688-7452.
