State Farm O&A, Including METRYX, One Month Later

State Farm issued a new Offer and Acceptance letter to glass shops this fall that included asking participants to sign up for the METRYX system and to do so by October 19. A little more than a month later, glassBYTES checked in with the company to find out how things went and found that, as far as the insurer is concerned, the O&A was well accepted.

"The industry was very receptive to the Offer and Acceptance agreement and we've already received requests from more than 80-percent of the past participants," said Melissa Kern, State Farm glass supervisor.

More than 80-percent of past participants signed on again, the company considers the O&A agreement successful and continues to welcome glass shops that indicate a desire to become an O&A shop in the future.

"Just as it has been in the past, this is an open invitation for any glass company to submit a request to be an Offer and Acceptance participant," said Kern when asked if a new deadline would be set for those interested in joining now that the October 19 deadline has passed.
