The Arizona Daily Sun reported today that Governor Janet Napolitano signed a law yesterday effectively banning steering by insurance companies for windshield repair and replacement. The law requires insurance companies to inform policyholders of the right to choose the company to repair cracked or broken windshields.

This is the first law of its kind on the books in Arizona.
