A news report on Springfield, Mass.'s NBC-affiliate, WWLP-TV (Channel 22) recently featured a story on auto insurance industry steering practices for the repair and replacement of auto glass.

In an bulletin from the Massachusetts Glass Dealers Association (MGDA) sent to its members today, the MGDA recapped that the report, indicating that the station's consumer reported interviewed all parties involved, including the consumer, a glass shop and a representative of the insurance industry.

Dan Bean of Bean's Auto Glass in Springfield was interviewed in the news report, as was consumer Mike Bulda of Easthampton, Mass; the MGDA bulletin states that a local insurance agent affiliated with the Independent Insurance Agents of Massachusetts was interviewed as well, but did not give his name. The bulletin does not indicate if the insurance agent was named in the news report.
