(source: Automotive Service Association press release) Industry professionals heading to Las Vegas to attend events taking place during Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW) may miss their chance to vote in this year's presidential election. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 2. To that end, the Automotive Service Association has created a special section in its new legislative Web site (www.TakingTheHill.com) to inform attendees about how to vote absentee in their area. The "2004 Elections" section of TakingTheHill.com provides detailed information about this year's election, catered specifically to a visitor's geographic area. Visitors simply enter their ZIP code in this special section to access the information, including important information on absentee voting as well as polling locations for in-person voting. In addition, the 2004 Elections section includes state-specific, downloadable voter registration forms as well as information about where to mail the completed form. For some states, an electronic version can be completed online. The section also includes information about candidates, both national and local; key state election dates for primaries and general elections; state-specific ballot initiatives; and voter maps. TakingTheHill.com will also include post-election results for all presidential, congressional and state races. |
