Las Vegas Is Automotive City

By Charles Cumpston

If you like cars or are involved in the automotive industry, Las Vegas is the place to be this week. It's Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week, and things are purring like a well tuned engine.

The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show 2005 is drawing crowds to the Las Vegas Convention Center.
AAPEX, which focuses on automotive parts, is drawing an international crowd to the Sands Convention Center.

Then, there's NACE, the International Autobody Congress & Exposition. (The only difference I can think of for the name and the acronym is that at one point it must have been the National Autobody, but then you get the idea.)

NACE got underway today, and of the shows in Las Vegas this week, it is most closely associated with the auto glass industry. It is being held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

Exhibitors at the show include Aegis Tools International, AN Designs Inc., CPI Division/The New Company Store, Equalizer Industries Inc., Extractor-Crystal Glass Canada, Glas-Weld Systems Inc., Gold Glass Group, and NAGS/Mitchell International Inc.

Stay tuned to glassBYTEs.com for more information from the exhibit floor at NACE as well as other happenings in Las Vegas.
