Windshield Repair Standard Committee Meets in Florida; Changes Name

The joint National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA)-National Glass Association (NGA) Repair of Auto Glass Standards Committee (RAGS) met in Florida Wednesday and Thursday of this week to continue its work on the development of an ANSI standard for proper windshield repair.

Twenty committee members from around the country spent a good portion of time reviewing a proposed draft standard, with a great deal of discussion about the driver's primary viewing area and what types of repairs might and might not be acceptable in such an area.

The committee also voted to change its name to the Repair of Laminated Auto Glass Standards Committee (ROLAGS) to match the exact name of the Standard being developed.

The committee will next meet Sunday, May 22nd, in Minneapolis. For details, contact NWRA administrator Peg Stroka at nwra@netrax.net
